The School Day

Stocklake Park School’s day starts with students being greeted by familiar staff. Arrival and departure arrangements are carefully managed between families, transport providers and school staff.

Parent/carers drop off at 9.00am and pick up at 3.00pm.

Taxis drop off at 9.10am and pick up at 3.10pm. Taxis should all be off site by 3.30pm.

As a specialist school for pupils with SEND, our curriculum is built around Preparation for Adulthood (PfA), helping students develop independence, communication, wellbeing and skills for life beyond school.

Highlights of the school day include:

  • Personalised Learning – A curriculum tailored to individual needs, interests and future aspirations.

  • Therapeutic Support – Integrated programmes delivered alongside learning, including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

  • Preparation for Adulthood – Opportunities to develop independent living, community participation, travel training and employability skills.

  • Sensory & Physical Development – Access to specialist environments and activities that support regulation, wellbeing and engagement.

  • Outdoor & Community Learning – Real-life experiences that build confidence, resilience and independence beyond the classroom.

Lunchtimes are staggered to meet the needs of different age groups, with students able to choose a hot meal or bring a packed lunch.

We work closely with families to ensure every student is supported to achieve their full potential and is well prepared for their next steps in education, employment and adult life.
